Wagestream is a fintech-for-good startup whose mission is to bring better financial wellbeing to frontline workers by providing a set of fairer financial services, designed for them, through their employer. Currently, 24% of UK employees worry about money every day, up 8% in a year - with money the biggest worry overall in 2022.
Wagestream’s core feature set gives employees visibility to track in real-time pay and spending, and the flexibility to choose how and when they get paid.
I was the first product designer employed by Wagestream and worked in a small product team of 6 (myself, 2 product managers, 2 developers, and a Head of Product). During my year at Wagestream, the primary focus of the product team was to expand upon the core feature set to increase adoption, engagement and revenue of the app.
We worked closely to rapidly hypothesise, test, iterate and launch new features and improvements including, but not limited to tracking earnings, managing shifts, debt support, and providing financial coaching and resources to those looking for support.
